In 1947 when I was about 12 years of age I thought this title for a Christmas Carol was very, very funny. I can only speak one language [English] and I would like to hear from any members of this forum, who speak other languages , how the words "While shepherds washed their socks by night" translate. In other words eg.would a French child find it amusing?
