Bobbo,

Well done her! I can categorically say she's right!
The one we probably all know best from this show is Memory.

'Memory' Elaine Paige | Cats The Musical

I went to see the show in London but don't really remember any of the other ones.

Songs From Cats That Make You Feel Majestic | Cats the Musical

Next one.

3. My female friend and I.

Thanks Ken. Glad someone is still following this quiz!
Yes .. it's Me and My Girl.

Me and My Girl at New York City Center

Broadway's Lost Treasures - Lambeth Walk from Me and My Girl
"Lambeth Walk" from Me and My Girl. The show first opened in London all the way back in 1937!
This is the 1986 revival. The show is about a poor cockney who discovers he's the heir to a snobby noble family and must be turned into a gentleman. The girl in the red boa is his girlfriend, who his family disapproves of.

Next musical.

4. Sickly handout.

"Sickly" in this instance means "very sugary"; and "handouts" is what they do in the strict sense of the word in that you don't have to pay for them. There are loads of these shops in Weston. They don't have to pay for what's in their shops .. but you do when you want something.

By the way .. I hadn't heard of this Musical before, so not even the clues above would have helped! Having said that, I did know one of the songs very well, sung by Shirley Bassey .. but hadn't realised it was from this show.

Nope! If it had been Mary Poppins I would have known the musical. It's a bit more obscure than that! Hugh

Sickly is Sweet Charity Ken S.

Very good Ken! I think these musicals are very difficult to name from the descriptions. Sweet Charity seems to be a series of 'dance routines'. I only knew one of the songs from it, and that was because it was sung by Shirley Bassey. I went to see her perform in Cardiff (many years ago!) and this was one of the numbers she sang.

SHIRLEY BASSEY 1971 Big Spender (Show TV)

The YouTube LINK below takes you to some of the dance routines from the show.
I haven't put this as an 'embedded link' as it is 'widescreen' and doesn't show well in a forum post.

Next. This is just as difficult to guess the name of the musical!

5. Our Nance.

A clue for this one. The best known song from this musical isn't 'Today'.

That's the one! My wife and I went to see this done locally. Annie was the star of the show!

Annie (2014) - Tomorrow Scene

6. Scandinavian tune.

Don't reckon this was ever done as a 'show' .. but it was a film, with music by Edvard Grieg.

Too difficult to expect an answer to this one!
If you have two hours to spare, there is some lovely scenery in this .. and it's all in English.
The INTRO is Grieg's Piano Concerto in Am.

Song of Norway (1970 Film)

The film is too old to have the music in stereo, but here is a very good rendition in stereo of Grieg's Piano Concerto in Am.

Alexander Malofeev -- E. Grieg. Piano concerto in A minor, Op.16.

Now come on, you should all guess this one!

7. Swindler on high.

Ken. Right! Fiddler on the Roof.

Chava Sequence-Fiddler on the Roof 1971 Film

And probably the best known piece ...

Fiddler on the roof - If I were a rich man (with subtitles).

8. Greetings plaything.
