Hello there Peter,
A very nice performance and video I enjoyed listening my very good friend. :D :D :D

Jon D. 8) 8)
Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.

Peter,

Just love to hear you playing this song. It is full of 'dis-harmony' that keeps you on tenterhooks, and then it resolves itself. I gather that you got the STYLE for this from a MIDI FILE of this piece (ie. it is not one of the 'default' STYLES in your Korg)? Your Korg is one up on the Yamaha in being able to do this.

For those of you who are not familiar with this song, here is a bit of background to it.

This song was composed and sung by John Lennon in 1977 but only recorded as a 'home DEMO'. Then many years later the tapes for it were 'discovered' and the Beatles got back together to record a new version of it, which included not only John Lennon's original soundtrack but also material from the other three band members.
From Wikipedia:
"Free as a Bird" is a song originally written and recorded in 1977 as a home demo by John Lennon, formerly of the Beatles. In 1995, 25 years after their break-up and 15 years after Lennon was murdered, the band released a studio version incorporating contributions from his surviving bandmates Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr.

And here is the result of their efforts.

Thank you Jon and Hugh

Yes, that’s right Hugh the style was created from a midi song.
Using the PA4s on board style creator, it makes a ‘new’ appropriate style with fill ins, intros and endings.
This process takes all of around 10 seconds!
