Go to FUNCTION,
Click MASTER TUNE and tab to SCALE TUNE.
The 'default' is EQUAL
ie. the EQUAL TEMPERAMENT Scale. Note that all the white and black notes are set at zero. Other tuning scales will be showing up (+) or down (-) on these frequencies (or zero if the respective notes are the same).
Play the scale of C followed by a C major chord (C E G). Listen carefully to the notes in the scale, and the harmony of the chord being played as this is the basis of our Western music sounding 'in tune'.

Pressing the button corresponding to the red 'down' arrow, move the keyboard tuning down to the next one .. PURE MAJOR.
You can see from the above how much the 'tuning' of each note has changed from the Equal Temperament Scale. Rather than play a scale in C (C itself has a 0 on it anyway (ie. no change in pitch) the changes will be more pronounced by playing the scale starting on B.
Click the below to hear a B scale with PURE MAJOR tuning. You will have to have a 'good ear' to hear the notes that are 'out of tune' in the scale. However, the chord that follows, which is a B chord (B D# F#), very definitely sounds 'out of tune'. This is followed by the same chord (B D# F#) played with the EQUAL TEMPERAMENT tuning .. so you can hear what the chord sounds like when it is in tune.

One more to try .. ARABIC2, which is the one at the bottom.
This has just two notes that have been adjusted, E and B, and both these are tuned to -50. In this DEMO, once again a scale of B has been played (both E and B are in the scale of B) .. followed by a B chord (B D# F#) .. and this is followed by a B chord in the EQUAL TEMPERAMENT scale so you can hear what it sounds like when in tune. At the end of the DEMO is a C chord played with ARABIC2 tuning .. followed by a C chord with EQUAL TEMPERAMENT tuning.

Press R1 for voice (F button)
Press UP (upper 8 button)
Move to page 2
Press J button (GM&XG voices)
Move to page 2
Press D button (Ethnic)
Oud is the bottom voice on the right.
Follow instructions above for setting the keyboard to Arabic2 and have a play
These notes are played with the keyboard set to Arabic2 and using the Oud voice.
