This was a hit recording for Glen Campbell in 1967. He was born in Arkansas in 1936 with his father being of a Scottish descent.
He had a long and varied career from being a session musician in the early 60’s, to a spell playing bass for the Beach Boys and to even appearing in the movie True Grit starring John Wayne. In later life he developed Alzheimer’s and had to retire. He died age 81 in 2017.

This is my arrangement, more akin to the original, of this memorable song.

That is an amazing piece of music. You have a real skill when playing a keyboard. Must go back to when you played in a band.

You mention that this was a hit for Glen Campbell, and that in his final days he suffered from Alzheimer's.

Hugh, most of my musical professional years were spent playing the bass. It was only after retiring from work that I decided to buy my T3 and take up tinkling the ivories again having spent 10 years as a child having weekly classical piano lessons. Nice to know that my efforts are pleasing.
