The March 2024 Challenge is any weepies or tear jerkers. This was something suggested by JT (barwonfan).
Eg. Please Release Me, Don't Forget to Remember Me.
Lots to choose.
Just hang in there.

Here's where to post your entry, in CHALLENGE - MARCH 2024

Do a right-click to open the Challenge up in a New Tab
http://www.tierce-de-picardie.co.uk/viewforum.php?f=528

Click on NEWTOPIC and put the title of your piece into the Subject.

Note: It's OK in these 'challenges' to post something of yours that appears elsewhere in this Forum .. and it's OK too if it's already been in another 'Challenge'. It can also be something that you have recorded previously but not yet posted in the Forum. It's also OK to post the same piece of music as somebody else. Nobody plays two pieces the same, and it's always interesting to see how different people tackle the same piece of music.

I was saying that a 'weepie' or 'tear jerker' is either that because it has words that tell a really sad story ..

Foster & Allen - Nobody's Child

Or because the music itself sounds sad. How about this one, which I have just found on YouTube:

Saddest Song Ever, Barber's Adagio, Theme from Platoon by Oliver Stone, Andrzej Kucybała conductor

My best tear jerker. Jeff is no longer with us. Sadly missed Ken S.

Ken,

An amazing clash of sounds! I think "inharmonious" is the word for it.

From the Cambridge Dictionary:
Inharmonious - adjective (MUSIC)
Making an unpleasant musical sound, or not making a pleasant harmony: The loud inharmonious wailing continued for hours.
