This is quite an eye-opener. Turn the piano on, and off you go with the inbuilt piano sounds. Hook up your iPad, and you have access to a range of piano sounds via the App .. and can control the overall sound of each one in several ways. And can select other sounds too eg. organ, strings etc. which you can 'mix' with the piano. The Clavinova's USB Port is conveniently placed at the end of the music stand, so no trailing wires to set it all up.
When the demonstrator introduced a 'split' keyboard, and showed us various 'Styles' (and how to play them by holding down chords with the left hand) I thought to myself, "Goodness, they are turning this piano into a keyboard".

Hi Hugh,
Exactly what a lot of people have commented on, and many people don't like it, as they see it as a bad move and one commented that Yamaha may as well change its name to Apple ? Like it or like it not its probably the way things are going to go in the future
