What software do you use to play/hear what a style sounds like before you load it onto your KORG PA keyboard ?

Hi Brian,
The only true way to hear styles, sounds etc. are to load them into the keyboard you are going to use, it you use PC software then midi your keyboard to PC for true response. ATB. jackoj. :) :)

Hi Jacko,
Agree with what you say about the midi connection for a true sound, but even without a midi if you can get an idea of the rhythm, and the tempo of the style it's better than nothing as you can always change the voicing if you decide to loaded onto the keyboard.

I am using a simple Demoversion of EMC-Pa-Manager, setting Midi-Out to Pa500 - its good enough to assess if i like that style to insert in one of my userstylebanks (done with xrm-database-manager) - i do not like to move single styles loading into pa-keyboard, i prefer to mangage banks-of-styles with pc-software, to get well structured organization in style-banks.

.. but to stay in soundquality near arrangerkeyboards like Yamaha (AWM, XG) or Korg and if you are familiar in creating soundfont-banks with good samples, you can use Sf-players (like xmplay) or sequencer-sw (vanBasco, Cubase, Cakewalk etc) in connexion with CoolsoftVirtualMidiSynth (Midi-driver for rendering without Audigy- or EMU-soundcard) without need to connect your PC/Laptop with your keyboard.
Preferring sequencer-sw it is also possible to send Midi-events of smf to your keyboard for exactly sounding as played with internal sequenzer (but without the need to load each midi-/karaokefile).
