James,
I had thought that maybe the two instruments could be joined together via MIDI? Then whatever audio output you had for listening to the two keyboards being played together would be in stereo, and would be the place to get your audio recording from.
There is no point in using a MIC Input for anything other than singing, as it will only be recording in MONO. Any music channelled through a MIC Input would lose all it's 'panning' of instruments (instruments sounding more to the left or more to the right in the mix) .. or in other words, the stereo sound you had would be lost. That may be OK for the 'general listener', but for a musician you would lose the 'richness' of the music you play.
The comments above are with regard to audio recording. If you have two independent audio stereo sources (eg. output from your Tyros 4 and output from your Korg) you would need a 'mixer' with two stereo inputs (and one stereo output) to make a proper stereo recording.
Would appreciate any comments from Members who do have two keyboards and have them linked together. How do you make recordings?
Hugh
