Lifes Future?

Postby dentyr » 17 May 2020 22:40

Feeling a little despondent one evening as three of my "students" always seem to have other things to do. I put this together and thought others may like it.

Lifes Future.

The seconds turn to minutes
And the minutes turn to hours,
“I really have so much to do
No time to smell the flowers.”

The hours move on and turn to days
The deadline must be met!
“Nothing must deter me now
Is there something I forget?”

The days move on and turn to weeks
“I must just check this through!”
The weeks roll on and turn to months
“There’s so much I must do.”

The months go past and turn to years
And all the things I’ve done
Are being done by someone new
My things just matter none.

I wish my life would come again
To be back in my prime
But father time is standing there;
Says “Sorry, got no time.”

I reckon that's a pretty good poem Dennis. I also like the picture of the old man with the scythe and the hour glass.

I love listening to members performances on this forum and I ALWAYS turn off the speakers on my lap top and plug in my headphones.

Hi there Den,
That poem sums up our existence to the full well done. :) :)

Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.
