Hi Carloss. Enjoyed that think it’s one of your best. Lots of highlights on that piano and a steady beat. John

Hi Carloss,

I think the best way of describing your playing is ... relaxing music. Is this 'composition' just something that comes to you as you go along? ... or could you repeat it and play it exactly the same? Mind you, I wouldn't know whether you had or whether you hadn't played it the same.

Hi there Hugh, thanks for your comment. Usually when I strum the keyboard, I hear a sound, an interesting phrase, so I work on it, almost always obeying the cicle of five. You touched on a particularly interesting subject. You know, I always write the scores for my songs, just so I'm able to play a certain song. But, you see, interpreting the score not as the professionals, who when reading the score, follow the exact rhythm, produce the same inflections of the notes, the same accents in the same duration, etc ... Now, sometimes it gets better, others It gets worse. Thank you Hugh.

Carloss,

It has to be said .. you're brilliant! As I don't read music I certainly couldn't write it. Am I correct in saying that if you record your composition as MIDI then you can get a program that will 'produce the dots' for you from the MIDI file?

Hi! Hugh, thank you very much for your comment. Despite my academic life, I have always been involved with music. Along the way, I learned to read music, the language of musicians of all stripes. You know, Hugh, I don't know anything about MIDI. I play the chords, notes and harmonies on the keyboard and take notes on the computer, using the Finale program to build and then export the scores in PDF format. I can play the same song whenever I want. Now, without the score I can't. At my age, I don't want to memorize anything anymore. It is interesting this whole circle because sometimes I listen to a song that I recorded and I ask myself: was it me, is it? Almost without believing. Thanks Hugh.
