This just shows that it's not just the melodies that make a song worth listening to. It's who has played/sung it and the sound they made. Wouldn't listen to this orchestral version more than once (in fact, haven't even listened to it right through even once).

This is one I knew well (and really liked it), but probably used to listen to it through speakers (at nearly full volume, no doubt!). But listening through headphones is doing my head in as this is a recording where they have panned the stereo 100% to the right (the blokes) and the girls are panned 100% to the left. You just can't listen to music done this way using headphones as some of the left and right channels should be reaching both ears.

So here's one, not done by The Mamas and the Papas where the stereo is perfect for headphones.
