The Virtual Clavierorgan

Postby Rev Tony Newnham » 01 May 2020 11:06

Hi

My simulation of a very rare musical instrument. The Harpsichord sound leaves a bit to be desired, but it's not too bad. Read the description on the YouTube video for more info. about instrument & composer.

Enjoy!

Hi Tony,

Thanks for posting that. I looked on YouTube for Clavier Organ and found this piece, below. I am not normally a classical music fan, but this particular piece had me bowled over. So I am posting it here.

J.S. Bach: The Well-Tempered Clavier (complete on organ)

Thanks Hugh

One to listen to later - the lockdown has vastly increased the number of postings on Facebook & You Tube of music that I'm interested in!

That's not really a Clavierorgan - just a straight pipe organ (no Harpsichord). They are rare, but there is one channel that I've found on You Tube that includes tracks recorded on a real example (as well as various other instruments - I'm quite envious!!!). Here's the links -

One track from it I found particularly fascinating - multi-keyboards in a classical setting!

The music may not be for everyone (i have very wide musical interests!), but it may be of interest to some here. The real Clavierorgan is shown at the start of the video quite clearly.

Every Blessing

Tony

Hi Tony. Some fascinating instruments and sounds. I wonder what the inventors would think of the keyboards today. John
