Hi Hugh,

Amazing what can be achieved with such a small device, I struggle with my Ipad and its exactly the same operating system but a lot bigger screen

I do wonder how these people get what appears to be the full score for the song ? as opposed do just sheet music ?

All the best, Brian007

Brian,

You obviously get a unique piece of music by programming it like this. But you have to know what you want to program in in advance. No 'reading the dots'! You have to have a good ear for what you are creating.

Personally, I can't be doing with all this! I just like to choose a 'ready made Style' from Yamaha (or I would get it from Korg if I had a Korg keyboard), maybe replace some of the PARTS with something of my own, like a 'repeating piano' or 'arpeggio' (which you physically play on the keys .. you don't program them in on an iPad) .. and then play the melody on the keyboard.

Hi Hugh,

I think I have a foot in each camp here, I do like to create new stuff just for a change, but I also like to play my favourite pieces and for that I will use a style.

I am not a fan of heavily customize style that are made to mimic the tune your trying to cover , personally I would rather find a suitable basic style that fits the tune and take it from there , hence a foot in two different camps.
