Hymns/Songs for 7th March 2021

Hi

Here's this week's selection. Some technical problems this week - electrical interference at times, especially in the opening hymn. Made editing interesting trying to get rid of it! I also had problems with my arthritis which meant I had to just go with what I'd got, plus a simple organ part, in "What a wonderful change".

We start with this week's bonus track - a short Lenten chorale prelude.

The first hymn is the classic Praise to the Holiest in the height. Neil (our minister) asked for a shortened version (first 2 & last 2 verses) but I recorded the full hymn, which is the link below. I then edited it ddown for Sunday - if you really want to you can find that version on m You Tube channel - but aside from one alternative camera angle, it's exactly the same as those verses in the full version.

Next up is a track from my archive - recorded last summer.

And we close with this barnstormer from the evangelical tradition.

Enjoy

Every Blessing

Tony

Hi Tony A lovely listen. The only one I knew was Praise to the holiest. The last one was a rousing piece. Keep safe and well. John

Tony,

Are you testing us to see how closely we are watching? In that last one you are playing the lower of the two keyboards (that is the piano .. the upper keyboard is set up with an organ sound), yet whilst you are playing the piano on the lower keyboard in the main screen, your 'insert' shows you playing the upper keyboard ???

Hi

Thanks for the comments.
Hugh - the last hymn was double-tracked. I recorded the piano part first, then added the organ part. I was going to use my Nord C2D for the organ part, but my arthritis intervened & I didn't feel up to moving the cameras, etc. Maybe next time! As it was I only just managed to finish what I did record before relaxing in my recliner for the rest of the day!

Every Blessing

Tony
