We Three Kings - Synth Wave Style

Postby Brian007 » 06 Dec 2020 14:20

Hi ALL,

Still getting my head around this new Synth,

The Drums Bass and Piano come from the Korg Kross synth and the Brass and Choir come from another Korg the M1 but as a Vst, instrument and its the first time I have used VSTs in a recording and need to improve them a little

Don't have the volume up to high as it seems a loud recording to me ?

Hi there Brian,
A good Christmas number I liked the mix of Korg keyboards well played and mixed together I enjoyed my pleasant listen my very good friend. :D :D :D

Jon D. 8) 8)
Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.

Hi Brian. Totally different to what I was expecting. Liked the piano and other sounds. Just shows what can be done with music. John

Hi Mike,

Thanks a lot for listening and commenting, The Korg that I am using is very different from the Yamaha arranger I had, first big difference is there are no styles
you can pick your own drum- bass - another track to suit the music your playing, very flexible, but also very hard when you have had everything done for you

But at the end of the day its still makes music, perhaps different ! but music just the same

Hi Brian,

Looks like hard work to set up a song to play .. with no styles to fall back on. But then by having to set up your own drums, bass and backing it does make your music unique to you.

Will be a real asset when you get back to playing with your band.

Hi Hugh,

Thanks for listening and commenting and pleased that you found it interesting ,

One thing I have learned about keyboards in general is the more you pay for them the easier they are to just sit and play with good results, but with this comes
the fact that they are harder to move away from the preset stuff thats in them, so everything comes at a price or a trade off, If you want to just sit and play and sound like a band or an orchestra get an arranger if you want to create your own music find something else, and after 15 years of arrangers I am ready for a change.
