Den,
You're very observant! Re: The black bars showing in your embedded video (as it is showing it in 16:9); and no black bars when watching it directly on YouTube (as YouTube is showing it as 4:3, the format you did the MP4 in as your photos were 4:3).
The Embedded Video is in your original post, above (scroll up to find it); and the direct link to watching it on YouTube is:
Do a right-click to open this up in a New Tab.https://youtu.be/y_tl79DyUiIA while ago I did a video for Les Harber (
lesh) (Llanidloes & The Fjords) from photos
he sent me .. which were 4:3. The embedded video put up by Les is here (in
Holiday Experiences):
Do a right-click to open this up in a New Tab.http://www.tierce-de-picardie.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=416&t=7579Although the initial frontage of the embedded video is 16:9, once it starts playing all the photos are 4:3 so you get the black bars running through it right from the start.
If you watch his video on YouTube itself there are
no black bars as YouTube are showing it in 4:3.
Do a right-click to open this up in a New Tab.https://youtu.be/iPtfL2-9S9EDen .. I said you were very observant because I have never noticed what was happening to Les's video until I checked it out just now. So this must be caused by our BBCode for YouTube?
I'll see if I can create another BBCode for YouTube to use specifically for 4:3 videos so it doesn't show black bars.
