The Stars Will Remember
She sat motionless, staring down at the small wooden table. His monotone voice droned on. Suddenly, without warning, her head shot up. She stared at him with wide open eyes. Utter disbelief filled her being. He was totally oblivious of her movement. His voice droned on. Slowly she rose and turned away. The night was warm. She walked slowly away from the café bar. She felt empty, totally empty. She looked up at the black dome above. It was studded with a myriad of stars. Just then, the band who played in the café, started their next song. The music flowed out and enveloped her; the words captured her mind.
The stars will remember,
The night we said goodbye.
The stars will remember,
So will I.

Laugh and the world laughs with you,
Weep and you weep alone.
This world has need of your laughter
It has troubles enough of its own.

Kind regards, Den.

I love the idea of the January Challenge. I love the promo I would love to know who put that promo together. It is brilliant. I love the reference to Vincent in the promo. I thought the "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star " was appropriate. I compliment Dennis on his little bit which tells of how the lady got bored with her dinner companion and " jumped ship." I think that Dennis wrote that little bit which commences " She sat motionless----" How do I find out who wrote the promo? J.T.

Hi Den. Not one I know. Liked the preamble story accompanying the tune. Some nice sounds and change of rhythm. John

JT ...

Dennis wrote and put together the whole of that promo. I don't always understand what Den says .. it's the way his mind works. So I hope everybody has understood what we are wanting this month. As many Members as possible just to post one song .. and their effort will not be judged.

Den ...

That was fabulous. I always like the sound of an accordion. And then, suddenly .. what a surprise! You switched to a 'Latin' rhythm. Now that must be a new venture for you, as you normally play for dancing. And the dances you play for would be for a fixed number of bars played with one style of dancing. So foxtrot, foxtrot, foxtrot. If you had suddenly changed to a Rumba in the middle it would have thrown them. So nice to see you experimenting with something new.

Hi there I have played from the age of 13 and all my music is played in a sort of dance tempo style. Have worked in nearly all the North East clubs over the years. That gave me a good grounding. Cheers.
