Hi all,

Moving house and a couple of bouts of hospitalisation (not Covid) has put a block on my playing and taking any serious interest in music, but now I'm trying to get back into the swing of things. So here is an entry from me for the January Challenge. The Man That Got Away, played on my Genos keyboard.

I have heard this tune before but would not of recognized it from its title , but that was a very nice easy to listen to piece with some real sweet voicing.

Thanks for your comments, appreciated. Must thank Hugh for tweaking sound a bit. Still not too happy with left hand harmony, must try it again.
The song is a standard Judy Garland number, in particular, sung by her in the film 'A Star Is Born'. Tried to capture the pathos of her rendition.

Hi Brian,

A nice listen. All I did to your MP3 was to up the overall volumes using Audacity, as your original recording was a little on the quiet side (ie. I NORMALISED it to -1). When making a recording in the first place we all have to be sound engineers and get the balance between the melody and the backing as we want to hear it.
